🤔 Standard V2 vs other resins: when to choose which
If you are comparing Anycubic Standard Resin V2 with other options from the Anycubic resin catalog, this table helps you decide quickly:
| Comparison | Choose Standard V2 if… | Consider the other if… |
|---|---|---|
| V2 vs Standard V1 | You want less brittle parts (+93% toughness) and less odor | You prioritize price per kg and already have the V1 settings dialed in |
| V2 vs Water-Wash 2.0 | You are looking for maximum fine detail and better mechanical properties | You do not want to work with isopropyl alcohol (washing with water) |
| V2 vs Tough Resin 2.0 | Prototypes, figures and standard decorative parts | Functional parts under continuous load or that need to flex a lot without breaking |

✅ Why the Anycubic Standard V2 Resin is our best-selling resin
- 💪 +93% toughness compared to V1 — elongation at break 25-30% (V1 is around 14%). More impact-resistant parts, less brittle, same precision.
- 🔍 Incredible detail — hardness 80-83 Shore D and volumetric shrinkage 4.3-5.6% for miniatures, figures and prototypes where every layer counts.
- 💧 Flows beautifully — viscosity 250-350 mPa·s at 25 °C, settles well in the vat without bubbles or problems filling the FEP.
- 😌 Less odour than V1 — reformulated formula for more comfortable sessions in small spaces.
- 🖨️ Compatible with any 405 nm LCD/DLP — the entire Anycubic Photon range and the vast majority of Elegoo, Phrozen and Creality printers.
- 🎨 Hassle-free post-processing — sands, paints and bonds without issues once cured.

❓ Frequently asked questions about Anycubic Standard V2 Resin
What is the real difference between Anycubic Standard V1 and V2?
Anycubic Standard V2 Resin increases toughness by 93% (elongation at break 25-30% vs ~14% for V1), significantly reduces odour and lowers volumetric shrinkage to 4.3-5.6%. The exposure settings are practically interchangeable.
Which 3D printers is Anycubic Standard V2 Resin compatible with?
Compatible with any 405 nm LCD, MSLA or DLP 3D printer. Tested and documented across the full Anycubic Photon range (Mono, M3, M5, M7, X), and works perfectly with compatible Elegoo, Phrozen and Creality models.
What exposure time should I use?
Between 2 and 3.6 seconds depending on the model (see the settings table above). For 4K+ LCD start at 2.5 s; for 2K at 3 s. Always validate with a calibration test (Cones of Calibration or AmeraLabs Town).
How do I wash and cure correctly?
Washing in isopropyl alcohol ≥95% for at least 3 minutes (ideally in a Wash & Cure station). Air dry or use a blower. UV curing at 405 nm for 3 minutes per side, at a temperature of 18-30 °C.
Is it toxic? What precautions do I need?
Like all uncured UV resin, it requires nitrile gloves, a mask, and ventilation. Once fully cured, it is chemically inert and can be handled without protection. Do not ingest or pour down drains.
Is it suitable for dental printing or jewelry?
No. For dental use, you need certified biocompatible resins (Class I/IIa). For jewelry, specific castable resins with low ash content are required. The Anycubic Standard V2 Resin is a general-purpose resin.
Can I mix colors from the same range?
Yes, no problem. Mixing two colors of Anycubic Standard V2 gives consistent results and does not affect exposure times. Mixing with resins from other brands is possible but usually requires recalibration.
How long does an opened bottle last?
Approximately 12 months when kept tightly sealed, between 15 and 30 °C and away from direct sunlight. Always shake for 30-60 seconds before each use to remix settled pigments.
Where can I find the exact settings for my 3D printer?
In the "Recommended Settings" table above, you will find the 16 official Anycubic models. For settings for all Anycubic resins (not just the Standard V2), check our complete Anycubic settings guide. For other brands, start from the values of an equivalent model and adjust using a calibration test.
⚠️ Safety and expiry
🧤 This product contains photosensitive resin. Always use with gloves, a mask, and in a well-ventilated area. Do not ingest. Refer to the safety data sheet (MSDS) on the manufacturer's website.
