GomaGom 21 Adhesive Remover is a dedicated cyanoacrylate solvent — for the classic "super glue" — in a compact 3-gram format, designed to fix the small disasters that happen in any 3D printing and modelling workshop: a crooked bond on a resin-printed part, excess glue on a miniature, a stray drop on a PLA assembly, or a finger stuck to a sprue. It works on virtually any material: cured UV resin, PLA, metal, glass, wood, plastic, rubber and skin.

How to Use GomaGom 21

The manufacturer's official procedure is straightforward and worth following closely for best results: apply enough remover to fully saturate the cyanoacrylate residue, place an absorbent paper towel on top, and leave it to work for 2 to 4 minutes.

The absorbent paper is not optional. It's what draws the softened adhesive away from the surface. Without it, the dissolved cyanoacrylate can re-bond once the solvent evaporates. After 2–4 minutes, remove the paper, wiping away the residue, and check the result. If any hardened residue remains in difficult areas, repeat the application.

Common Uses in 3D Printing and Scale Modelling

These are the three typical scenarios where a 3g tube ends up saving the day in the workshop:

Correcting misaligned bonds on 3D-printed parts. Apply to the crooked joint on a resin or PLA part, wait 2–4 minutes, separate the pieces and re-glue them properly. It's far better than forcing the part apart and risking a break — especially on finely detailed printed miniatures where a bad bond is very noticeable.

Removing excess cyanoacrylate from printed parts or miniatures. When a drop escapes the joint and hardens on the surface. Applying it precisely with a toothpick or an old brush avoids attacking more area than necessary.

Unsticking skin. It happens more often than we admit when assembling small parts with super glue. Apply, wait, and gently peel away — far better than yanking two stuck fingers apart.

Compatible Materials

GomaGom 21 acts on the adhesive, not the substrate. That means it's compatible with virtually any surface you'll find in a 3D printing or modelling workshop: FDM PLA prints, cured UV resin prints, wargaming miniatures, plastic, metal, glass, wood, marble, melamine, rubber, cardboard, paper and skin.

On painted, primed or delicate finished surfaces, we recommend testing on a hidden area first. It's not an aggressive solvent like acetone, but any chemical product deserves a quick 30-second test before applying it to a finished piece.

Why Buy It at Mr Resin

Having a tube in the drawer saves you a trip to the hardware store the day a 3D printing assembly goes wrong — which is usually right in the middle of an important project. If you're already ordering resin, filament or paint, adding GomaGom 21 ships in the same package at no extra logistics cost. Orders over €79 ship free to mainland Spain.

Mr Resin has been serving more than 5,000 makers across Spain, Portugal and France for years, and our catalogue is built around exactly what the community asks for: not just printers and materials, but the small consumables that turn out to be the most useful things in any 3D printing workshop.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does it work on resin or PLA printed parts without damaging the material?
Yes. The debonder targets the cyanoacrylate adhesive, not the polymer itself, so both PLA and cured UV resin are fully compatible materials. It's ideal for fixing a poorly assembled joint or removing excess super glue from a printed part. On painted or primed parts, we recommend testing on a hidden area first — not because the product is harsh, but as a basic precaution with any delicate finish.

How long does it take to dissolve dried cyanoacrylate?
Between 2 and 4 minutes when following the manufacturer's procedure: apply a generous layer over the residue, cover with absorbent paper, and wait. The absorbent paper is the key step — it draws out the softened adhesive. If you skip it, the debonder evaporates and the cyanoacrylate re-bonds.

Can it unstick fingers bonded together with super glue while assembling a printed part?
Yes, that's one of its primary uses. Apply to the skin, wait 2–4 minutes, and gently separate. This is always preferable to pulling apart forcefully, which can tear skin. As with any chemical product, avoid contact with eyes or open wounds and wash your hands thoroughly afterwards.

How many uses will a 3 g tube provide?
The format is designed for hobbyists, makers, and modelers — not industrial workshop use. A typical correction on a miniature or 3D printed assembly uses just a single drop; one tube can easily last dozens of spot applications. If you work with cyanoacrylate daily in large volumes, a larger-format product would be more suitable.

Can I separate two glued printed parts without breaking them?
This is one of its best use cases. Apply along the joint, wait 2–4 minutes, carefully pull the parts apart, and clean off any residue before re-gluing. It works best on recent bonds; older ones may require a second application. For resin-printed parts with very fine details, take care when separating to avoid snapping fragile geometry.
