Key Features 🚀
-
🔄 2-in-1 Wash and Cure: Combines two essential processes in a single unit, saving space and reducing post-processing times. With this dual station, you go from printing to a finished model without switching machines, optimizing your workflow.
-
📦 Larger Capacity: Expanded 7.5 L cleaning tank to process larger models or multiple pieces at once. This capacity is 114% larger than the previous generation, ensuring that even high-volume projects fit effortlessly.
-
🪣 Dual Washing Options: Choose between two washing modes depending on your project. With basket mode, place the model in the basket to clean volumes up to 230×135×260 mm. With hanging mode, attach the print platform to the adjustable supports (compatible with platforms up to 10″) to wash models up to 214×135×180 mm without removing them from the plate. Total versatility to adapt to every print!
-
🔆 Uniform 360° Curing: 24 powerful 405 nm UV LEDs arranged in a matrix, combined with a transparent rotating platform, ensure fast and even curing from every angle. Your model hardens uniformly, with no weak spots, gaining structural strength and detail stability.
-
👍 Easy to Use: Intuitive touch panel with an adjustable timer from 0 to 30 minutes for both washing and curing. Simply select the appropriate time (up to 30 min max.) and the station handles the rest, stopping automatically when finished. A simple interface that makes the process comfortable even for beginners.
-
🛡️ Safe Anti-UV Cover: Yellow-tinted transparent protective lid that blocks 99.9% of harmful UV light, protecting your eyes during curing. Features a safety micro-switch that automatically pauses curing if the lid is opened, providing an extra layer of safety. All in a robust and compact design, ideal for your workspace.
Compatibility with models and 3D printers 🔄
The Elegoo Wash & Cure Station 3.0 is compatible with most resin 3D printers using LCD/DLP/SLA technologies. It is designed to work seamlessly with all ELEGOO resin printers – from the compact Mars to the larger Saturn and Jupiter models. (For the Jupiter series, due to its height, it is recommended to remove the build plate for the washing phase). Its generous washing volume of up to 230×135×260 mm allows post-processing of large-sized models; practically any model that fits in your resin 3D printer will fit in this station. In short, it offers simple and efficient post-processing support for almost any resin 3D printer on the market, giving you peace of mind regardless of the brand or model of your machines.
Usage tips and precautions 📋
-
🧤 Use personal protection: Always handle resins with nitrile gloves and, preferably, protective goggles. Although the station has an anti-UV cover, avoid looking directly at the LEDs during curing and do not open the lid while it is in operation. Liquid resin is toxic; it is also advisable to wear a mask if you work with isopropyl alcohol (IPA) to minimise the inhalation of vapours.
-
💨 Ventilated and prepared space: Work in a well-ventilated area to disperse resin or alcohol vapours. Keep the station away from direct sunlight or heat sources, and have absorbent paper on hand in case of splashes. Before starting, verify that the washing tank is filled to the recommended mark with the appropriate liquid (IPA for standard resins, water for water-washable resins) and that all accessories (basket, supports, turntable, lid) are correctly positioned.
-
⏱️ Adjust times appropriately: More time does not mean better results. Adjust the washing and curing time according to the size and complexity of your pieces. For example, between 5 and 10 minutes of washing and 2 to 6 minutes of curing is usually sufficient for medium-sized models. Small or very delicate pieces may require less time, while large models with many details may need the maximum (up to 30 min). You can always pause and check the model mid-curing to avoid overexposure.
-
🌡️ Drying before curing: After the washing cycle, let your model drain and dry completely before starting the curing process. Any remaining water or alcohol on the surface can cause a whitish film or opaque spots when curing. A few minutes in the air (in the shade) are enough to ensure the piece is free of moisture.
-
🚮 Responsible management of washing liquid: Do not pour contaminated alcohol or cleaning water down the drain. After several uses, the liquid will contain resin residue. A good trick is to leave the container open in the sun (or expose the liquid in a tray) so that the dissolved resin cures and precipitates; you can then filter out the solids and dispose of them properly. Reuse clean IPA for as long as possible and replace it when it becomes saturated with resin. Taking care of these details extends the life of your consumables and is more environmentally friendly.
