HeyGears Standard Resin Tank for Reflex and Reflex Turbo
Standard tank, without Pulsing Release, for the first generation of the Reflex. It works with the Reflex and the Reflex Turbo, and HeyGears describes it as easy to install and swap.
Key features
-
Compatible with: Reflex and Reflex Turbo.
-
Heating: compatible with the Reflex's automatic heating. On the Turbo, the heated tray raises the resin from 10 °C to 22 °C in about 20 minutes.
-
No Pulsing Release Module: this is the tank for printing without the module.
-
Long-lasting film: HeyGears rates the Reflex film for 45,000 layers or more, and the printer lets you know when it's time to replace it.
Why get a second tank
So you can keep one tank per resin and avoid emptying and cleaning it every time you switch materials. And if you have the Pulsing Release Module, you can print resins that aren't compatible with it without removing the Pulsing tank.
Compatibility
- Works with the resins HeyGears approves for the Reflex and Reflex Turbo without the module: PAS10, PARP10, PAWR10, PAP10, PAF10, PAT10, PAU10, PAU11, PAM10, PAH10 and the water-washable PAWW10 and PAWW20.
- PAC10, PAE10, PAU20 and PAH270 require the Pulsing Release Module and its Pulsing Release tank for Reflex.
- Not compatible with the Reflex RS, RS Turbo, Reflex 2 or Reflex 2 Pro.
When to replace it
The film and the tank don't have the same lifespan. The Reflex counts the printed layers and alerts you when the film is reaching the end of its life; HeyGears sells replacement film in packs of two and has a replacement video on its wiki. Replace the whole tank if the frame gets damaged or if you want one per resin.
Film care
HeyGears lists three common causes of film damage or leaks:
-
Cleaning by hand: use the Resin Tank Cleaning function and the debris removal tool. Don't pull cured resin off with your fingers.
-
Cured debris: check the tank before and after every print. A piece of debris pressed by the build plate can tear the film.
-
Worn film: replace it promptly when the printer alerts you.
To clean the tank, use isopropyl alcohol and a lint-free cloth. You'll find them in alcohol and post-processing.
Which one should you choose?
For standard, high-detail or water-washable resins, this one. For castable, elastic, tooling or high-temperature resins, you need the Pulsing Release tank with the Pulsing Release Module kit for Reflex.
