Siraya Tech Blu Lava: PC-Like Engineering Resin, Gray (1 kg)
At a glance: Siraya Tech Blu Lava is an engineering resin with polycarbonate (PC)-like strength — rigid, tough, and built for engineering prototypes, tooling, jigs, and mechanical fixtures. According to the official Blu Lava datasheet, it delivers 60–65 MPa tensile strength, 87 Shore D hardness, and a heat deflection temperature of 75 °C. Siraya also states that the Blu lineup meets ISO 10993-5 and ISO 10993-10 for external skin contact (non-irritating and non-sensitizing), when post-processed following Siraya's guidelines — this is not a material for intraoral use or implants. Available in gray, 1 kg bottle.

What is it best used for?
Siraya designed this resin for engineering prototypes, mechanical aids, tooling, jigs, and fixtures. It's the go-to choice for rigid functional parts that need to hold up under stress without deforming — think structural brackets, technical enclosures, assembly fixtures, and proof-of-concept parts that will later be manufactured in engineering-grade plastics.
Why "PC-like"?
Polycarbonate is well known in the engineering world for its toughness and impact resistance. Blu Lava aims to bring that same behavior to resin printing: with 60–65 MPa tensile strength and a 2,600 MPa flexural modulus, it's noticeably stiffer and stronger than standard resins, and its 75 °C HDT means it won't soften in moderately warm environments.

How to print it
- Designed for MSLA/LCD printers and also works on select 405 nm SLA and DLP printers with adjustable exposure settings.
- Use Siraya's official print profiles for your printer (Chitubox and Lychee) and their V5 test model to dial in settings.
- This is a high-viscosity resin (1,600 cps): print at room temperature or slightly warm, and shake the bottle thoroughly before pouring.
Washing and post-curing
-
Drain the print over the vat for at least 10 minutes.
-
Wash for 10 minutes in an ultrasonic cleaner with ethanol or isopropyl alcohol (IPA) at 90% or higher.
-
Dry with compressed air or a cool hairdryer. If the surface is still tacky, repeat the wash.
-
Post-cure for 15–20 minutes under 395–405 nm UV light, rotating the part every 5 minutes. Curing submerged in water gives better results.
- For parts intended for skin contact, follow Siraya's specific post-processing guide.

Siraya Tech Blu Lava — Frequently Asked Questions
What is Blu Lava used for?
Engineering prototypes, tooling, jigs, and mechanical fixtures — rigid parts that need to withstand real stress and load.
What does "PC-like" mean?
It means the resin targets mechanical properties similar to polycarbonate: 60–65 MPa tensile strength and a 2,600 MPa flexural modulus.
How much heat can it handle?
Its HDT is 75 °C at 0.455 MPa, as listed in Siraya's official datasheet.
Is it biocompatible?
For external skin contact only: Siraya states the Blu series passes ISO 10993-5 and ISO 10993-10, confirming it is non-irritating and non-sensitizing to skin — provided you follow their post-processing guide. It is not suitable for oral use, implants, or food contact.
Is it rigid or flexible?
Rigid: 87 Shore D hardness with 12% elongation at break.
Which printers is it compatible with?
MSLA/LCD printers, and select SLA and DLP printers operating at 405 nm with exposure control.
How do you wash it?
Drain the part for at least 10 minutes, then wash for 10 minutes in an ultrasonic cleaner using ethanol or IPA at 90% or higher.
How long does it need to cure?
15–20 minutes under 395–405 nm UV light, rotating the part every 5 minutes.
Is it viscous?
Yes, 1,600 cps at 25 °C. Print at a slightly warm temperature and let parts drain thoroughly before curing.
Are there print profiles available?
Yes, Siraya Tech publishes profiles for Chitubox and Lychee Slicer, along with a V5 test model to dial in your exposure settings.
