What can you cast with it?
In jewelry, it's ideal for rings, chain links, pendants, and highly detailed pieces to be cast in metal. For dental use, it works as a burnout pattern for casting. In engineering, it suits small metal parts cast from a printed pattern. The royal blue color provides excellent contrast for inspecting fine detail before investing.
Investment & burnout
Siraya states that Cast is compatible with standard investment materials, and users have had great results with Ransom & Randolph Plasticast® — an investment designed for plastic or plastic/wax patterns, offering high expansion and strength, smoother casting surfaces, and easy water removal. Follow the burnout schedule recommended by your investment manufacturer.

How to Print It
-
Shake the bottle and mix the resin in the vat before you start.
- Compatible with MSLA, LCD, and DLP printers, as well as other 385–405 nm machines where you can control exposure settings.
- Siraya publishes ready-made profiles for Chitubox, Lychee, Anycubic Photon Workshop, and Elegoo Satellite.
Washing and Post-Curing
-
Wash with 95% ethanol or isopropyl alcohol (IPA); acetone-free methanol also works. Use a total of 4–5 minutes in an ultrasonic cleaner, dipping the part several times.
-
Do not leave parts soaking in alcohol for more than 5 minutes. For complex geometries, remove excess resin with a soft-bristle brush.
-
Dry completely — no alcohol residue should remain before curing.
-
Post-cure under 395–405 nm light for approximately 10 minutes (15+ minutes for larger parts), dry, without water, to keep moisture under control. The part must be fully cured before investing.
A wash and cure station makes both steps easy. Browse more options in our castable resin collection.
Siraya Tech Cast Royal Blue — Frequently Asked Questions
What is Siraya Tech Cast used for?
It's designed for printing burnout/castable patterns for jewelry, dental, and small metal parts using the lost-wax casting process.
Which investment do I use with it?
It works with standard investments. Siraya users have reported great results with Ransom & Randolph Plasticast®.
Is it hard to burn out?
No — Siraya describes it as easy to burn out, with a clean and efficient burnout cycle.
Which printers is it compatible with?
MSLA, LCD, and DLP printers, as well as any 385–405 nm machine where exposure can be controlled.
How do I wash it?
With 95% ethanol or IPA, for a total of 4–5 minutes — never leave parts in alcohol for more than 5 minutes.
How do I cure it?
Approximately 10 minutes under 395–405 nm light (15+ minutes for larger pieces), dry and without water.
Why cure without water?
Siraya recommends dry curing to control moisture in the pattern before investing.
What is the viscosity?
300 cps at 25 °C — a fluid, easy-to-print resin.
What's the difference between this and the purple version?
According to Siraya's datasheet, Royal Blue and True Blue both have 65 Shore D hardness and 4% elongation at break, while the purple version measures 70 Shore D with 5% elongation.
Can it be used for dental applications?
Yes — Siraya lists dental models among its intended uses. You'll find more options in our dental resin collection.
