Siraya Tech Rebound 55A: Fast-Recovery Elastic Resin, Black (1 kg)

Overview: Siraya Tech Rebound 55A is a soft, flexible resin (55 Shore A) engineered for rapid shape recovery and impact absorption. According to the official data sheet, it reaches 170% elongation at break, meaning it stretches significantly without tearing. Siraya recommends it for prototyping protective padding, shock absorbers, phone cases, grips, gaskets, and soft-touch surfaces. Softer than Tenacious Flex, it works with 405 nm LCD and DLP printers and comes in a 1 kg bottle in black.

Key Specs at a Glance

  • Type: Fast-recovery elastic resin.
  • Hardness: 55 Shore A — very soft.
  • Elasticity: 170% elongation at break.
  • Ideal for: Impact absorption and parts that must return to their original shape.
  • Compatibility: 405 nm LCD and DLP printers with screens smaller than 12 inches.
  • Color: Black, 1 kg bottle.

What Can You Print with It?

Siraya recommends Rebound 55A for:

  • Protective padding prototypes: cushions and impact pads.
  • Shock-absorbing parts and vibration dampeners.
  • Flexible consumer products: phone cases and grips.
  • Industrial gaskets, seals, and soft-touch surfaces.
  • Sports equipment prototypes: handles and impact zones.

A High-Viscosity Resin: Tips for Successful Prints

Rebound 55A has a very high viscosity (8,000 cps), so a little preparation goes a long way:

  • Do not shake. This resin contains no settling pigments — shaking only introduces bubbles.
  • Let it rest in the vat for 5–10 minutes before printing to allow bubbles to rise and dissipate.
  • Print between 25–35 °C. The absolute minimum is 20 °C; printing below this temperature will cause failures.
  • Adjust lift speed and rest time after retraction: slower lifts and longer rest times give the resin time to flow back under the build plate.
  • Prepare your build plate: make sure it is level, thoroughly clean, and ideally lightly sanded. Keep the vat clean and free of any cured resin debris.
  • Printer size: compatible with most 405 nm LCD and DLP printers with screens under 12 inches. For larger machines, Siraya recommends checking compatibility first.
  • If your printer displays a warning that the build plate cannot fully descend due to resin resistance, you can safely dismiss the warning and continue printing.

Post-Processing

Siraya recommends that after washing and drying the surface, you perform heat drying at 50 °C for at least 60 minutes (90 minutes recommended) in a food dehydrator or oven with accurate temperature control, to fully evaporate the solvent. You'll notice the print shift from a slightly translucent black to a deeper, more opaque black. Then cure under UV light for 10–15 minutes, rotating the part every 5 minutes.

Store the resin in its original opaque bottle, tightly sealed, in a cool, dark, and dry location — ideally between 15–25 °C. A wash and cure station makes the post-processing workflow much easier. Frequently Asked Questions About Siraya Tech Rebound 55A

What is the Rebound 55A?
A soft, elastic resin (55 Shore A) that snaps back to its original shape quickly and absorbs impacts effectively.

How much can it stretch?
Up to 170% before breaking, according to Siraya's official technical datasheet.

What is it used for?
Impact guards, dampeners, phone cases, grips, gaskets, soft-touch surfaces, and sports equipment prototypes.

Is it softer than Tenacious Flex?
Yes — Siraya describes it as softer than Tenacious Flex, with outstanding elasticity.

Does it need to be shaken?
No. It contains no settling pigments, and shaking only introduces unwanted air bubbles.

Will it work with my printer?
It's compatible with most 405 nm LCD and DLP resin printers with a screen smaller than 12 inches. For larger format printers, contact us before purchasing.

What temperature should I print at?
Between 25 and 35 °C — never below 20 °C.

What print settings should I adjust for its viscosity?
Lower your lift speed and increase the rest time after retraction to allow the resin to flow properly beneath the build plate.

How do I post-process it?
Heat dry at 50 °C for 60–90 minutes to evaporate the solvent, then UV cure for 10–15 minutes.

How should I store it?
In its original opaque bottle, tightly sealed, in a cool, dark, and dry place at 15–25 °C.
