Gomagom 7 Super Glue is the general-purpose cyanoacrylate for your 3D printing workshop and repairs: 20 g of clear adhesive in a bottle with a standard conical nozzle, designed for everyday workshop use — assembling large printed parts, quick repairs, household use and anything that doesn't need the precision of a brush applicator. Twice the amount of the small format, with the standard applicator you're used to from any superglue bottle. It bonds practically any material: parts printed in PLA and UV resin, rigid plastics, ceramic, rubber, porcelain, hardwoods, marble, metal, mother-of-pearl, ivory and glass. If you need precision work on miniatures or parts with very fine details, the Gomagom 9 Super Glue with its built-in brush applicator is the better choice.

The workshop drawer cyanoacrylate

Every 3D printing workshop needs a general-purpose cyanoacrylate within reach. Multi-part prints, broken part repairs, large part assemblies and quick fixes are everyday scenarios that use up adhesive on a regular basis. For these jobs, what you need is quantity and immediate availability — not extreme precision. Gomagom 7 fills that role: 20 g of adhesive in a bottle with a standard conical nozzle, the most cost-efficient format per euro/gram.

The conical nozzle applies a controlled drop (not like a brush, but precise enough for most work) and lets you apply both dots and short beads over larger surfaces. For large parts printed in resin or PLA, where the contact area is generous, it's exactly what you need.

Typical use cases in 3D printing

Gomagom 7 covers the scenarios where quantity and flow matter more than extreme precision:

Assembling large multi-part prints. In both FDM (PLA, PETG, ABS) and UV resin, large parts are usually printed in sections to optimise orientation and reduce print times. For these joints with generous surface area, the conical nozzle lays down a quick bead without having to go drop by drop.

Repairing broken printed parts. Breaks that don't require filling volume (cyanoacrylate bonds, it doesn't fill). For clean fractures in functional, decorative or hobby parts, Gomagom 7 is the quick option.

Gluing diorama elements and scale models. For fixing printed parts to built bases (alongside scale modelling accessories such as Revell/Tamiya), the 20 g format goes a long way on projects with lots of joints.

Household use and quick repairs. When a mug handle breaks, a ceramic piece comes unstuck or you need to glue any two plastic or metal items. It's the cupboard cyanoacrylate, not just the workshop one.

Which Gomagom adhesive to choose for your work

We stock several adhesives in the Gomagom family, each optimised for a different scenario:

  • Gomagom 7 (this one, liquid, 20 g, conical nozzle): general use. Large printed part assemblies, workshop repairs, household use. Twice the amount for everyday consumption.
  • Gomagom 9 (liquid, 10 g, brush applicator): moderate precision. Wargaming miniatures, assemblies with fine details, small printed parts.
  • Gomagom 2 (liquid, 3 g, extra-fine pen): maximum precision. Jewellery, photo-etched parts, sub-millimetre details.
  • Gomagom 37 (GEL, 3 g, anti-clog applicator): difficult joints. Vertical applications, porous materials, neodymium magnets, where liquid runs or gets absorbed.
  • Gomagom 87 (UV resin, 4 g, with UV torch): SLA part repair. Superior chemical affinity with parts printed in UV resin (Anycubic/Elegoo), unhurried open time.

For an active 3D printing workshop, it's ideal to have several formats depending on the type of work. They complement each other rather than replace each other.

How to use it

The manufacturer's official procedure, according to the label:

1. Clean, dry surfaces. Both parts to be joined must be free of dust, grease and print support remnants. A wipe with isopropyl alcohol before gluing greatly improves adhesion, especially on parts printed in UV resin.

2. Apply a small amount — one drop is enough. The manufacturer states it explicitly: using too much reduces bond effectiveness and speed. With cyanoacrylate, less is more. A thin layer cures better and leaves a stronger bond than a thick one.

3. Join the parts, avoiding contact with your fingers. Cyanoacrylate bonds skin to skin in seconds.

4. Press for 15-30 seconds. This is the time needed for initial setting. Hold the parts in position without moving them during this time.

5. Full strength in around 12 hours. For joints that will be handled or bear load, it's best to wait until the next day.

Store in a cool, dry place, away from light. If your fingers get stuck together, reach for the Gomagom 21 Adhesive Remover — that's exactly what it's for.

Compatibility with 3D printing materials

  • Cured UV resin — excellent adhesion; cleaning with isopropyl alcohol before gluing is recommended
  • PLA (FDM) — very good adhesion, the standard option
  • PETG (FDM) — good adhesion, best to lightly sand the area
  • ABS (FDM) — good adhesion
  • Flexible TPU / TPE — limited adhesion, consider other adhesives

Other compatible materials

According to the manufacturer's label, Gomagom 7 bonds: rigid plastics (HIPS from Revell/Tamiya/Italeri scale models), ceramics, rubbers, porcelain, hardwoods, marble, metals, mother-of-pearl, ivory and glass. Very flexible plastics (polyethylene, polypropylene) and highly polished surfaces require prior preparation or specific adhesives for a good bond.

For joints that need gap filling

Cyanoacrylate bonds surfaces in contact, but it doesn't fill gaps. If the printed part is broken with missing material or the crack has thickness, cyanoacrylate alone isn't enough. For these cases, epoxy putty is the better choice:

Frequently asked questions

Is it a good cyanoacrylate for 3D printing?
Yes. Cyanoacrylate is the standard adhesive for assembling 3D printed parts, both FDM (PLA, ABS, PETG) and cured UV resin. With its 20 g, Gomagom 7 easily covers the everyday consumption of a workshop with several projects. For precision work on miniatures or parts with very fine details, the Gomagom 9 with brush applicator is the recommended complementary option.

How is it different from Gomagom 9?
Two practical differences. (1) Quantity: 20 g vs 10 g. The 7 is twice the amount and, per euro/gram, more cost-efficient for everyday use. (2) Applicator: the 7 has a standard conical nozzle (the typical one on any superglue bottle), the 9 has a built-in brush. For large parts, general assemblies and household use, go with the 7. For miniatures, photo-etched parts and precision work, the 9. Ideally, a workshop with several projects should have both.

Does it work well on parts printed in UV resin?
Yes, perfectly. Cured UV resin behaves like a rigid thermoset and cyanoacrylate bonds well to it. We recommend properly washing and curing the parts before gluing, and wiping the contact surfaces with isopropyl alcohol to remove any unpolymerised monomer residue — this clearly improves bond quality.

How long does a bottle last once opened?
Like any cyanoacrylate, once opened it starts to lose properties by absorbing ambient moisture, especially if the cap isn't airtight. Stored properly in a cool, dry place away from light, a 20 g bottle can last you many months with regular workshop use. The label explicitly says to remove residue with a cleaner and close the container tightly after each use. If you notice the glue thickening or taking longer to cure, it's time to replace it.

Can I use it for household repairs as well as in the 3D workshop?
Yes. It's perfectly suitable for household use: gluing a broken mug, fixing a loose handle, repairing small ceramic, plastic or metal items. The label explicitly lists ceramic, rubber, porcelain, marble, metal, mother-of-pearl, ivory and glass as compatible materials. For repairs that require filling (not just bonding), epoxy putty is the better option.

What if my fingers get stuck together?
It happens more often than we'd like to admit. Here's what to do: don't pull them apart by force (it tears off layers of skin), apply the Gomagom 21 Adhesive Remover to the bonded area, wait 2-4 minutes and gently separate. Any residue can be removed by washing with soap and water. If the situation is serious (eyes, wounds, children), seek medical attention.
