HeyGears Amber Screen for Reflex RS and Reflex RS Turbo
Replacement Amber LCD screen for the Reflex RS family. On the Reflex RS Turbo it's the screen fitted at the factory, so it's a direct replacement. On the Reflex RS, which ships with a standard LCD, it's an upgrade: HeyGears also sells the RS in a "with Amber Screen" version.
What the Amber screen is
"Amber" is the name HeyGears gives to its in-house LCD designed for the Reflex printers. According to the manufacturer, this is what sets it apart:

566:1 contrast ratio, thanks to a composite design with a dyed polarizer and optical films.

Polarizer dyed with dye macromolecules: better control of the light passing through, with less overexposure and underexposure, and sharper edges.

Optical film that lets light through at 90°: less stray light on the layer being cured and cleaner surfaces.

Longer lifespan: these molecules withstand UV and heat better, contrast degrades less, and HeyGears quotes over 1 million printed layers.
What's included
The official Amber screen set for the RS includes the screen with its tempered glass protector already fitted and two LCD screen tapes.
Compatibility

Yes: Reflex RS Turbo and Reflex RS (10.3" screen).

No: Reflex, Reflex Turbo, Reflex 2 or Reflex 2 Pro. Each family has its own screen.

Pulsing Release Module: the screen doesn't require it. If you print with the module, HeyGears offers a dedicated screen tape for it (Pulsing Screen Tape); check which one you're fitting.
When to replace it
If it's cracked or scratched, if it projects uncured areas, or if you have an RS with the standard screen and want more contrast and a longer lifespan.
Installation and calibration
HeyGears asks you to follow the instructions carefully and, if needed, seek professional help. The official Reflex RS Amber Screen Installation video is available on the HeyGears wiki and in the Blueprint Studio help center. After the swap, the RS reads the new screen's calibration data via NFC and adjusts the light intensity to keep variations below 5 %. HeyGears also sells a kit with an LED calibration tool to calibrate uniformity and intensity.
To protect it, there's the screen protector for Reflex RS, and to replace the tape, the Reflex RS screen tape.
Who it's not for
If you have a Reflex or Reflex Turbo, yours is the Amber screen for Reflex. If you have a Reflex 2 or 2 Pro, you need the Reflex 2 series LCD screen.
