HeyGears UltraCraft Wash: vibration washing station for the Reflex series
The UltraCraft Wash is the parts washer HeyGears designed for its Reflex printers. Instead of spinning a basket or using ultrasound, it places the parts in a sealed wash box and vibrates it on the base. A wash takes 2 to 4 minutes, uses 95 % or higher ethanol, and the alcohol transfers from one box to the other without you having to touch it or pour it by hand. It's the first half of post-processing; the second is the UltraCraft Cure.

What it's for and who it's for
A resin part comes out of the printer covered in liquid resin. If you don't wash it properly, curing leaves tacky areas, detail is lost and the part never reaches its full properties. The problem with washing by hand is the alcohol: it gets dirty fast, splashes and smells. The Wash works with sealed boxes, moves the liquid by vibration and lets you reuse the alcohol for the first rough wash, which is where most of it is used up.
It's designed for Reflex series users who print often and want consistent washing every time: prototyping, end-use parts, miniatures and figures. Vibration is gentler on small parts than a basket spinning at high speed, although freshly printed parts are still fragile and need to be handled with care.
Compatibility
HeyGears lists it for the Reflex, Reflex Turbo, Reflex RS and Reflex RS Turbo, and includes it in the Reflex 2 Combo (printer + Wash + Cure). You'll find it alongside our Reflex RS Turbo, Reflex Turbo and Reflex 2 Pro printers.
It doesn't need the Pulsing Release Module and doesn't connect to the printer: it receives jobs via Wi-Fi or USB. With the Reflex, you can wash the entire build plate inside the box. With the others, the box has a usable volume of 198 × 123 × 150 mm: larger parts, or the Reflex 2 and Reflex 2 Pro build plates, won't fit.
Resins with compatibility published by HeyGears: PAU10, PAT10, PAM10, PAP10, PAH10, PAWR10, PARP10 and PAS10.

How to use it
-
Installation: stable, level table, away from direct sunlight, at 18-25 °C and with humidity below 50 %. The base vibrates and can shake the table: don't leave glasses or open containers nearby.
-
Network: on the machine, go to Setup > Wi-Fi, then finish in the BlueprintGo app.
-
Loading: place the parts in a box with the supports facing down and add ethanol until roughly 70 % of the parts are covered, without exceeding the MAX mark. Close and lock the lids of both boxes.
-
Washing: send the job from Blueprint Studio, place the box on the base, press the knob and start. Under "Customize" you can set time and speed manually.
-
Draining: when it's done, stack the box on top of the empty one, open the liquid valve first and then the air inlet switch. The alcohol drains into the box below. If you do it the other way round, it may splash out through the switch.
-
Next wash: put the new parts in the empty box, stack the one holding the alcohol on top and repeat the step.
Manufacturer's tips: wash only one build plate of parts at a time so they don't knock into each other, protect delicate parts with a shell when preparing the print, and remove supports after washing, not before. Don't leave parts in the alcohol for long: washes usually stay under 10 minutes. Clean the boxes and their grilles with the brush when resin builds up.
Safety
- Ethanol is flammable: keep the machine away from flames, sparks and heat sources.
- Store the box containing alcohol tightly closed and leave valves and air switches set to OFF.
- Wear nitrile gloves when handling uncured parts and work in a ventilated area.
Which one should you choose?
The Wash only washes. To finish your parts you need to cure them, and the natural partner is the UltraCraft Cure, which receives each resin's parameters just like the Wash. If you print in a closed room, the UltraCraft GreenPrint purifier helps with resin and alcohol fumes. If you use water-washable resins such as PAWW20, note that HeyGears doesn't include it in the Wash compatibility list. You'll find other washing options in our wash and cure machines section and supporting supplies in alcohol and post-processing.
Who it's not for
- If you want to wash with isopropyl alcohol: HeyGears only specifies 95 % or higher ethanol for this machine.
- If you print parts larger than 198 × 123 × 150 mm.
- If you don't have a HeyGears printer: the automatic programs won't be any use to you and a generic washer will be cheaper.
Frequently asked questions
What alcohol should I use?
95 % or higher ethanol. It's the only agent HeyGears specifies for the Reflex series UltraCraft Wash.
How long does a wash take?
Between 2 and 4 minutes with the HeyGears programs: a 4-minute cycle at 200 r/min, or a double cycle of 2 minutes rough and 2 minutes fine at 180 r/min.
How many wash boxes does it come with?
Two. One for the parts and alcohol, and an empty one into which you drain the alcohol when you're done so you can reuse it in the next wash.
Can I wash the entire build plate?
With the Reflex, yes: HeyGears recommends placing it in the box with the bars facing up. The Reflex 2 and Reflex 2 Pro build plates are larger than the wash volume.
Should I remove the supports before or after washing?
After. Uncured parts are fragile and, without supports, they knock against each other and break more easily during washing.
Do I need the Pulsing Release Module?
No. The Wash works on its own and doesn't depend on the pulsing release module.
Is the menu in Spanish?
No. The display is in English, Simplified Chinese or Japanese. It's operated with a single knob: turn to navigate, press to confirm and hold to go back.
Where does it ship from?
We ship it from our official HeyGears distributor in Europe.
