HeyGears UltraPrint PAH10: rigid high-temperature resin for moulds and tooling
UltraPrint-Molding PAH10 is HeyGears' resin for parts that have to withstand heat and load without deforming. It is very stiff (flexural modulus of up to 3,350 MPa), has a heat deflection temperature of 110 °C in the Clear Tan colour and is mainly used for silicone moulds, tooling and functional prototypes that run hot. We sell it in a 1 kg bottle and in two colours: Clear Tan and Black.
Heads up before you buy, because each colour works on different printers:
-
Clear Tan: 385 nm only. Only on HeyGears UltraCraft Reflex, Reflex Turbo, Reflex 2 and Reflex 2 Pro.
- Black: 385 nm and also HeyGears' 405 nm Reflex RS / RS Turbo.
Neither is validated on 405 nm LCD printers from other brands (Elegoo, Anycubic, Phrozen, Creality...). The fact that Black works on the RS doesn't mean it works on any 405 nm printer: it relies on the HeyGears profiles in Blueprint. If you have a printer from another brand, check out our 405 nm resins.

Two colours, two behaviours
They're not the same material dyed a different colour. HeyGears provides different data for each:
-
Clear Tan: the one with the highest heat resistance (HDT 110 °C) and slightly higher tensile strength. HeyGears recommends it for silicone moulds, prototypes and end-use parts with moderate thermal demands, such as intake or exhaust ducts on RC cars that run at around 100 °C.
-
Black: designed for structures that bear continuous load. Its strong point is long-term resistance to deformation. It's used for structural parts, inserts, component housings and tooling for silicone moulding. It withstands slightly less heat (HDT 95 °C).
What it's for
- Moulds and dies for casting silicone, where the mould has to hold its shape under heat.
- Functional prototypes that need stiffness and creep resistance (so they don't "give" over time under load).
- Parts near heat sources: ducts, motor mounts, housings.
- Tooling, jigs and workshop fixtures.
This is an engineering resin. If you're looking for other heat-resistant options, take a look at our high-temperature resistant resins and engineering resins collections.
Compatibility: which printers it works with
According to HeyGears' compatibility table:
-
Clear Tan: Reflex, Reflex Turbo, Reflex 2 and Reflex 2 Pro.
-
Black: Reflex, Reflex Turbo, Reflex 2, Reflex 2 Pro (385 nm) and also Reflex RS / RS Turbo (405 nm).
-
Pulsing Release Module: optional for both colours. Works with the standard tank.
Print profiles are selected in HeyGears' Blueprint software. If you don't have a printer yet, the UltraCraft Reflex Turbo and the UltraCraft Reflex 2 Pro work at 385 nm. The Reflex RS Turbo is 405 nm and only supports the Black colour: if you have an RS, don't order Clear Tan.

Use and post-processing
Before printing
Shake the bottle well and stir the resin in the tank before each print. If the resin is going to sit unused for more than 3 days, filter it and return it to the bottle. HeyGears recommends not leaving it in the tank for more than 7 days.
Washing
- Two-stage wash with IPA or 95 % alcohol: a first pass with used alcohol and a second with clean alcohol.
- In the UltraCraft Wash (Black profile): 250 rpm, 2 min + 2 min. In an ultrasonic cleaner: 1 min + 2 min.
- Don't leave the part in alcohol for more than 10 minutes in total. Dry it with compressed air or for 10 minutes at 50 °C.
You'll find isopropyl alcohol and accessories in post-processing.
Post-curing
HeyGears specifies heated post-curing: 60 °C for 60 minutes in the UltraCraft Cure, Performance mode. The properties in the table were measured with this cure. If you cure with another machine without heat, don't expect to reach the same heat deflection temperature.
Safety and handling
According to its safety data sheet, the liquid resin carries the signal word "Warning" and the following hazard statements: H302 (harmful if swallowed), H315 (causes skin irritation), H317 (may cause an allergic skin reaction), H319 (causes serious eye irritation), H335 (may cause respiratory irritation) and H373 (may cause damage to organs through prolonged or repeated exposure).
- Wear nitrile gloves and safety glasses, and work in a ventilated area.
- Flash point: 123 °C. Not classified as dangerous goods for transport.
- Store between 15 and 28 °C, away from light and tightly closed. Shelf life of 18 months.
- Don't pour liquid resin down the drain: cure it in the sun and dispose of it according to local regulations.
Which HeyGears resin should you choose?
-
PAH10: the balance between stiffness and temperature (95-110 °C). No mandatory Pulsing Release Module.
-
PAH270: if you need to withstand much more heat (HDT of 270 °C), for example for injection moulds. It's more brittle and requires the Pulsing Release Module.
-
PAU20: polycarbonate-like tooling resin, with higher elongation (23 %) but only 60 °C HDT.
-
PAU11: ABS-like for housings and prototypes without thermal demands (HDT 63 °C).
Who it's not for
- Anyone with a 405 nm LCD printer from another brand. It's not validated outside HeyGears printers.
- If you have a Reflex RS or RS Turbo and want Clear Tan: only Black works on those printers.
- Parts that need to bend or take impacts: with 6-7 % elongation it's rigid and brittle under impact.
- High-temperature plastic injection moulds: that's what PAH270 is for.
Frequently asked questions
Does PAH10 work on a 405 nm printer like an Elegoo or an Anycubic?
We don't recommend it. HeyGears only validates it on its own printers and with its Blueprint profiles. Clear Tan is only for the 385 nm Reflex printers. Black also works on the 405 nm Reflex RS / RS Turbo, but not on 405 nm printers from other brands.
What's the difference between Clear Tan and Black?
Clear Tan withstands higher temperatures (HDT 110 °C vs 95 °C) and is slightly stronger. Black is aimed at structures under continuous load and is the only one that's also compatible with the Reflex RS / RS Turbo.
Do I need the Pulsing Release Module?
No. For PAH10 it's optional on all compatible printers.
Can it be used to make silicone moulds?
Yes, it's one of its main uses. Its stiffness and heat resistance help keep the mould from deforming while the silicone is cast and cured.
How is it post-cured?
HeyGears specifies 60 °C for 60 minutes with heat in the UltraCraft Cure (Performance mode). The published properties were measured this way.
Is it compatible with the Reflex RS?
Only the Black colour, according to the manufacturer's compatibility table. Clear Tan is validated on Reflex, Reflex Turbo, Reflex 2 and Reflex 2 Pro.
How long does an unopened bottle last?
Shelf life is 18 months, stored between 15 and 28 °C and protected from light and moisture.
Where is it shipped from?
We ship it from our official distributor in Europe.
